Maintain Your Smile

Adult Cleanings

Adult cleanings and fluoride treatments are two of the most important preventative measures. Both routine procedures help maintain the overall health of your smile. Regular cleanings will help eliminate plaque that can bring about diseases like gingivitis while fluoride treatments add protection to help preserve and maintain teeth.

During adult cleanings, the dental hygienist will perform a blood pressure screening, oral cancer screening, and a periodontal disease (gum disease) screening. Recommendations will be made based on your individual needs. Healthy patients may only require twice a year professional cleanings. Patients with gingivitis or periodontal disease will require additional treatment.

Children

It’s important to safeguard every smile and child cleanings and fluoride treatments will reinforce a lifetime of wellbeing and optimal oral health. As their twice-a-year cleaning is one of the first contacts children have with our offices and staff, we strive to make the occasion an enjoyable and memorable visit. After their hygienist-administered cleaning and fluoride treatment, each child is awarded a balloon, as well as a prize from our “treasure chest”.

Protect Your Smile

Crowns

Crowns are used to restore teeth that are badly broken down or that have huge fillings. Additionally, they can be made to look like your own natural tooth. Crowns are very strong, and with proper maintenance can last for years and years.

Extractions

A damaged tooth, cavity, infection, or more can lead to the need for an extraction. Our doctors offer all types of dental extractions, including surgical and wisdom teeth extractions. Additionally, we extract impacted wisdom teeth.

When you have a toothache, broken tooth, or a tooth emergency that requires an extraction, our team can get you in as soon as possible. We’ll work to keep you as comfortable as possible using some of the most advanced care available including laughing gas, oral sedatives, super gel, and various local anesthetic techniques.

Fillings (No Drill, Air Abrasion Fillings Available)

FILLINGS (TOOTH-COLORED)

Fillings are used in restorative dentistry to repair minimal tooth fractures, tooth decay, and other damaged tooth surfaces. During your regular cleanings and screenings, your dentist will look for these developments. You will be advised on the appropriate type of filling based on the extent of the repair needed, the location of the repair, any allergies or unique concerns, and cost. Cost and payment options are always reviewed with you before your treatment begins.

SmilesRForever doctors provide bonded, composite, and tooth-colored fillings. We also offer the latest advances in bio active fillings. Many of our patients are surprised at how natural these filling materials can appear. It is our goal to restore your teeth to normal function and prevent further decay.

Not Shot, Air Abrasion Fillings

If the thought of the dentist’s drill makes you nervous, there is an alternative. SmilesRForever leads in dental technology with the use of Air Abrasion systems in our office. This is one of the most sought after methods of administering fillings. Air abrasion dentistry helps both children and adults with dental anxiety have cavities removed, without shots or pain.

Air Abrasion technology uses a fine stream of tiny particles to remove decay, old composite restorations, and superficial enamel staining. It can also prepare tooth surfaces for bonding or sealants. In the process, all materials including the particles are suctioned away cleanly and safely. A quieter experience and the reduced need for anesthesia, leads to a more comfortable experience with less collateral damage.

Root Canals

Root canals save teeth that have severe decay near the nerve of the tooth. Many of our patients report that having the procedure feels like having a filling. If you’re experiencing spontaneous pain while biting, throbbing, extreme sensitivity to hot and cold foods, or experience an injury or decay that creates an infection, or abscess, in the bone, you could be a candidate for a root canal. The goal of a root canal is to strengthen and save the tooth while ensuring the infection doesn’t reoccur.

Dental bridges are one way to renew a smile by seamlessly replacing a tooth lost by disease or injury. Bridges are fixed, cemented restorations with a natural look and feel. A bridge uses to anchoring teeth on either side of a gap to hold a false tooth or teeth in between. Prevent bite collapse and restore your ability to effectively chew in the area of the missing teeth with a bridge from SmilesRForever.

Dentures & Denture Repair

DENTURES (FULL OR PARTIAL)

Dentures can improve both the appearance of a smile and the functionality of a bite. While we work to keep natural teeth healthy and useful, some patients require tooth removal.

SmilesRForever offices are happy to provide a wide array of denture options. Using trusted labs across the country, we create high-quality, custom full dentures and partials to give you the smile you have been hoping to have again. Additionally, patients have a choice of partials that have metal clasps or that show no metal at all. Non- metal partials always help you look your best.

DENTURE RELINE & REPAIR (OFTEN SAME DAY SERVICE)

In most denture reline and repair cases, our offices can perform the needed task within the same day. Unlike other dental practices, we offer in office denture relines and repairs. Most of our denture work is performed in our in-practice labs, allowing us to expedite the time it takes to reunite you with your dentures. Occasionally your reline or repair may require it being sent to the lab. Call today for a courtesy consultation.

Implants

Dental Implants

Dental implants are stronger and more durable than their restorative counterparts (bridges and dentures). Implants offer a permanent solution to tooth loss. Additionally, implants may be used in conjunction with other restorative procedures for maximum effectiveness. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth or to support a bridge or denture. Learn more about implants.

Straighten Your Smile

Braces (Clear Braces Available)

Crooked teeth or a misaligned bite might call for the use of braces. The SmilesRForever offices practice both adult and child orthodontics. Braces may consist of fixed or removable corrective appliances, bands, and wires. Clear braces brackets are available. Additionally, our offices offer Phase I orthodontic treatment, or care aimed at younger children between age 7 and 9, to correct dental problems early in life. This early treatment is beneficial to help prevent tooth extractions when most children are older. Phase 1 patients have bigger, wider, fuller smiles. SmilesRForever doctors are licensed general dentists (not orthodontists) with 75 years of experience straightening teeth. Retainers

Retainers

Whether you’ve used Invisalign or traditional braces, you can benefit from Vivera® retainers. Vivera retainers are custom made for you with the same state-of-the-art technology used to make Invisalign aligners. Because the retainers are custom made from a digital scan of your teeth, you will benefit from a more precise and more comfortable fit. Your smile is digitally scanned (no gooey impression), stored in a computer file, and 8 retainers (4 sets) are fabricated out of an advanced clear plastic. These will last for years and years but if you would ever need more retainers, the original 3-D digital record of your just finished straight smile is used to make new retainers to keep your smile perfect. Learn more about Vivera® retainers.

Invisalign®

Specialized Treatment

TMJ Treatment

TMJ treatment helps patients with pain from popping, clicking, or locking jaws. The first step in TMJ treatment is thorough diagnosis to determine the extent and type of TMJ issue. You may need to wear a night and/or day appliance. In general, this measure helps a good majority of TMJ sufferers. SmilesRForeverdentists are trained and equipped to perform later stages of TMJ treatment if necessary. Tens therapy, ultrasound, and intracapsular medications are therapy adjuncts.

Schedule an appointment if you are experiencing difficulty in swallowing, locking or painful jaw , sharp facial pain, dizziness, headache, neck ache, or other issues or any combination of issues. We are happy to provide a consultation while keeping your best interests and overall health in mind.

Gum Treatment

Gum Surgery

A buildup of plaque can cause the development of gingivitis and the gum disease periodontitis, which may later require gum surgery. Prevention through regular cleanings and screenings is our goal, but often adults develop gingivitis in their 30s and 40s and require treatment. Bleeding gums are usually a sign of gum disease.

The first step in treating gum disease is a non-surgical method known as deep cleaning (see below for more information). However, in severe cases, our offices provide in-office gum surgery. Damaged tissue is removed at that time, root planning can be used to remove tartar from above and below the gum line, and then flap surgery can be used in the most severe cases where the gums need to be sutured in place to fit snugly around the tooth once again.

If you’re experiencing bleeding, pain or discomfort in relation to your gums, call SmilesRForever for an appointment to diagnose and treat your condition.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatment (Also Known As Deep Cleaning)

Non-surgical gum treatment, or deep cleaning, goes beyond the typical regular cleaning. Patients that have gum disease need a more thorough removal of plaque (soft deposits) and tartar (hard deposits) above and below the gum line.

Perio Protects

Perio Protects is a great adjunct for helping treat gum disease and often it’s successful at stopping or controlling gum disease. Perio Protect uses a medicated tray prescribed by SmilesRForever dentists and is fabricated by a lab to custom-fit each patient’s smile. The tray has a special patented seal that directs antimicrobial agents into the gingival sulcus and maintains the medications there long enough to kill periodontal disease-causing bacteria. Learn more about Perio Protects.

Special retainer like appliances align your lower jaw forward slightly to open your airway up and eliminate snoring and the vibration noise your tight airway makes. Try it! Sleep Apnea

OSA commonly occurs later in life – after 35 years of age, more often in men and overweight individuals. However, anyone can have OSA, including women, children, and even toddlers. Younger children and some adults benefit from non extraction orthodontic care as early as age 6.

Mouth & Snore Guards

If you grind and clench teeth at night, we can help. These plastic-like bite appliances protect teeth and crowns by absorbing the effects of clenching. If your house hasn’t seen a peaceful night’s sleep in years, you might be interested in a snore guard. Like the mouth guard, it helps preserve teeth and crowns by absorbing clenching and snoring. Additionally, it helps reduce or eliminate snoring.
