Dr. Blattner DMD, FAGD, MAGDDr. Blattner has been practicing dentistry for over 45 years! He started SmilesRForever in 1980, beginning in Cahokia, IL. He has a wife and 3 young children; John Jr., Charles and Erma Lottie. He has 3 cats; Sweetie, Baby Yoda and Hope. He enjoys golfing and dancing with his wife!

Dr. Andrew E. Hasler DMDDr. Hasler was raised in Columbia where he played drums for the CHS band before graduating in 2014. He discovered his passion for dentistry when he was thirteen as he had his braces put on. He attended the University of Missouri and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2018, then attended Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2023. Dr. Hasler’s passion is providing comfort and confidence for patients in need, and he takes a comprehensive approach to oral health. When he isn’t fixing smiles Dr. Hasler enjoys reading history and fiction, playing his drums, cooking, and working out at the local gym.

Haley Insurance CoordinatorOur office’s Insurance Coordinator since 2023! Haley was born and raised right here in Waterloo, IL. Haley lives on a farm with her husband; Brett, 2 dogs; Reba and Roxy, and 3 cats; Kiko, Jethro and Bubba. Haley loves spending time with her friends and family, coffee, reading and being in the kitchen trying her newest recipe! Ask for her if needing to update your insurance for your next appointment!

Sarah U Office Manager
Sarah is the office manager here at SmilesRForever and has been employed here since 2006! She has a wonderful husband, Mike, and they have been together since 2011. Together they have three beautiful, healthy children; two boys, Hank and Colt and a girl, Mary Kate. They live in Ellis Grove and have two dogs, a Beagle named Daisy and a Yorkie named Mollie.

Amanda Dental Hygienist
Amanda has been a Dental Hygienist at SmilesRForever for 20 years now! After high school she attended Lakeland College where she was accepted into the dental hygiene program. She lives in Columbia with her husband Jason, daughter Brianna, and sons Keegan and Grant. She has additional family members; Miley the dog and Charly the cat that she absolutely adores! When the weather is warm Amanda loves being outside working, being active, or watching sporting events.

Lauren Dental Hygienist
Lauren has been a dental hygienist for 10 years and has worked at SmilesRForever for 9 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2003 from McKendree University, then later went to dental hygiene school at Lewis and Clark Community College. In her off time, she loves spending time with her husband and son, reading, and drinking coffee. Her goal with patients is to make them feel comfortable and help them to have a great dental experience!

Nicole Dental Hygiene Assistant
Nicole is the hygiene assistant here at SmilesRforever and has been with the practice since 2017. She was previously one of Dr. Blattner’s dental assistants. She is married and has a wonderful son. She has 2 dogs; Suzie and Connie and a cat named Phil. When Nicole is not at work, she enjoys being with family, doing anything outdoors and cheesy jokes!

Sarah L is one of Dr. Blattner’s assistants here at SmilesRForever! She has been here since October of 2020. She lives in Waterloo, IL with her son, Nolan, and their dog, Woody. In her free time Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and finding new spots to eat!

Ciera Dental Assistant
Ciera is Dr. Hasler’s dental assistant and has been with the practice since 2024. She lives in Millstadt with her boyfriend and son. Ciera loves spending time with her friends and family, coffee, Red Bull, and anything crafty! Ciera is known for her singing around the office, so if you hear some singing during your visit, it’s her!

Maddie is Dr. Blattner’s dental assistant and has been with the practice since 2024! She has recently graduated from the University of Oregon and is studying to become a Dentist! Maddie resides in Waterloo and is newly engaged! She enjoys her time as a Senior Counselor for Camp Wartburg and serving in the church.
